You Wept Poem by Vera Sidhwa

You Wept

You Wept

Your deepest sorrow was unimaginable with me.
You cried wept so easily.
I tried to touch you, smile to you.
But you succumbed to be blue.

No matter what I tried and tried
All that time you were blue and cried.
I deemed it best if I cried for you too
But you remained blue.

I never have seen such black energy.
It took me back surprisingly.
The Earth shook
And you did too

You never told me why or what to do.
