You Sway Not Here Poem by Indira Renganathan

You Sway Not Here

Rating: 5.0

You sway tree to tree with two hands' grip
two legs and the tail down in airy domain
Sometimes upside down with tail up
And two legs' grip and two hands down

An aimless wandering with a grin
Plucking fruits in a menace before they ripen
Hey monkey you make messy a green scape
Letting it not to sustain its happiness

Somersaulting ground to tree and vice versa
Poking and denting without a goal mindless
As if it's your free domain..hey the shilly-shally
Know, my heart my domain..just out this minute

What a beautiful poem with superb imagery. With this poetic gem, I was able to see a monkey at close range in just a couple of minutes swaying here and there unmindful of anything. Beautifully crafted and well executed write. Thank you, Indira for all your wonderful comments. Wishing you a bountiful Year 2020. God bless always.
