You Should Stand Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

You Should Stand

Suppose
A beautiful rose
Surrounded by thorns
Doesn’t warn you

What shall you do?
To prove true
That you really care
And not simply stare

You are really trying
To assure what you are dreaming
Taking all steps to safeguard
With lovely and soothing words

It is real heaven
When rose is plucked and taken
With intention to smell
There is different story to tell

You are not only assuring protection
But smile with love’s assertion
That you shall stand by in all the times
With same care and feelings in times to come

You Should Stand
