You Say... Poem by Lilly James

You Say...

You say I'm pestimistic
He says I'm a social butterfly
She says I'm ugly
They say I don't fit in
The docters say theres
Something wrong with
That girl
My mother says I'm bad
My father says I'm special
That's all
My ex says I'm weird
My step dad says I'm a screw up
My step mom says I'm loved
The teachers say I'm lazy
My best friend says I'm clutsy
My enemy says I'm not worth
The air I breathe
My sister says I'm retarted
My friends say I'm distant
That woman says I look broken
Those girls whisper I'm gay
My brother says I'm useless
My cousin says I'm fun
My grand ma said I'm tallented
He says I'm trustworthy
That group says I'm always
Seeking undeserved attention
I think I'm not worth peoples time
I'm hurt and confused
And somewhere along the line
I lost you
