I may be a monster

a demon in human shape

But you did care
even hidden in your own cape



I was evil

surrounded in darkness

but you saw mean
d pulled from the madness



I am forever thankful

to you for saving me

for helping see past the darkness
for setting me free



I was skeptical

when i first saw you

you seemed fragile and weak
so liking you seemed new



That was until i knew you for you

and what was wonderful

your mind was so kind
and your soul so beautiful



That's why every time i see

your smile i grin

every time you giggle
I melt away a sin



You are the blessing i needed

the angel i wanted

the aid i desired
before the devil I confronted



I would stand with you

before any terror

including the greatest
because you would be there
