You Brighten My Day

I'm in heaven when i see you

you brighten my day from out of the blue

You are a wonderful soul on earth

That I'm in heaven when i see you



You send waves of joy

with just a stare

and turn my angry glare

into a joyful smile



You make my day so much brighter

with a just a passing glance

making me go from depressive sleep

to wanting to get up and dance



I wonder how you feel

when you see me

do I brighten your day

do I make you feel free?



Every time i see you

I feel so much lighter

my day goes from dreary

to so much brighter



My mind feels so much better

when I see your smiling face

and every time you poke me

my heart quickens in pace



I want you for who you are

not for some beautiful face

not for some perverted fantasy

That is not the case



I want you for you

for your beautiful mind

for your wonderful soul

That's what I came to find



SO will you show me with a poke of your finger

and a wink of your twinkling eye

how I brighten your day

as it passes bye
