You Never Said No Poem by Mae Ethan

You Never Said No

You never said NO, you did not
When I called it quits, maybe you forgot
You challenged me and boy, I did say
Who are you to dare me in anyway?

After that, there was silence
Please understand I do not mean any offense
It was you who challenged me
You still do not know me, you see?

I may just be another lady to you
You took me for granted, for fun, didn't you?
But this dumb lady can think
And you just lost her in a blink.

Now with all the things I said
You never replied a word, you forget?
After all, the idea came from you
Strange that you never answered, my Boo.

Or does your silence mean yes?
As adults, we have to be professional, I guess
I need to hear it from you directly
So that I would know the status, exactly...

If it's another love that made you say goodbye
Tell it to me honestly, please do not lie
Though it hurts, well, I have my pride
Just please don't keep your silence, I am dying inside...
