You Look Different In The Light

Rating: 0.5

Gray days made silver
like linings of clouds
silver then bronzed in the shadows of doubt
slivers of sun revealing the past
snaking through blinds
illuminating sides,
intensions,
spotlighting dimensions
You look different in the light
somehow not as bright.
your flaws were overpassed because the day was overcast
and now I can see through the blinds
no longer tied
I'm free and can see all the things that love hides
I'm no longer blind.
now bathed in twilight in the setting sun
you're no longer gold
the myth of perfection was just my perception
I love everything about you; your flaws are no exception
as day fades to night
and sight fades to black
in the moonlight you seem bright
and I just want you back.
Nobody's perfect and love can't be undone
it just makes you more human
and it makes us both one.
