You, Just You. Poem by Kyle Rowan Van der Ross

You, Just You.

You, just you, I could never ask more
Sometimes it seems you is just too much to ask for
Its hard pretending, all the while knowing we should be
Dreaming of a future and what could be
All I seek is your attention, fully and undivided
Coz once the jokes run dry and fun subsided
Know I'll still be here, every step of the way
Hopelessly devoted to you, till my dying day
Every moment spent with you, the feelings grow
I'll spend the rest of my life loving you, but you'll never know
Its all over now, all that's clear to me
What we have will but become a memory
Perhaps its time to cut my losses, perhaps its time to walk away
Time to write more rhymes of words my mouth can't say
My heart wants it wants, even when its wrong
Sometimes I can't have it, so I gotta be strong
I'm not alone and yet I'm still lonely
No more 'what if's' and 'if only'
So I'm sorry if this is all a waste of your time
Sorry my feelings are so strong that I start to rhyme
Sorry that with you I could never ask more
Mostly sorry if you, are too much to ask for...
