You Can't Dim My Star. Poem by Osagie Francis samuel Omono

You Can't Dim My Star.

YOU CANT DIM MY STAR, YOU CAN'T COVER MY SHINE.
I am a star, and stars shines the brightest even in thick darkness.
Cover me with the thickest of darkness, yet I will shine even brighter,
You can't dim my star.
You can't cover my shine
Like a tree cut down, though I seem conquered but for a period,
Cos, tress cut down grow back again at the scent of water,
You can't dim my star,
You can't cover my shine.
Shine and let me shine,
I won't obstruct your shine,
Don't obstruct mine too.
Like the angry dark cloud that angrily covered up the stars,
But for a period of time,
In greater glory, the stars shines back again,
You can't dim my star,
You can't cover my shine.
Let me fall seven times,
I shall and I will rise again,
Pass all sorts of dirty remarks on me,
I don't give a dam,
Cos you can't dim my star,
You can't cover my shine.
I am a star,
And I shine the brightest,
Even in the thickest of all darkness,
You can't dim my star,
You can't cover my shine.

You Can't Dim My Star.
