War Is Evil, Woe Unto War. Poem by Osagie Francis samuel Omono

War Is Evil, Woe Unto War.

WAR IS EVIL, WOE UNTO WAR.
Many thinks it's fun,
They think it's a merry party,
And so in their folly, they dance to your beats,
In their ignorance they sing your praises,
Not knowing how evil you are, WAR.
Since Eledua day (The Almighty) created humanity,
You have only brought nothing but sorrow tears and blood.
Woe unto you war.
By you and through you,
Women get raped to death, little girls are raped to death,
Some you made pregnant by your unknown soldiers,
Children looking for their mothers,
Mothers wailing and crying looking for their children,
What a great confusion you have caused,
Woe unto you War.
You ensure little boys are made to join your foot soldiers,
Pregnant women are shown no mercies as their bellies are cut open,
With their foetus displayed underneath the sun,
How much more evil can you be?
In no time, even at the speed of light,
You made children fatherless,
Turned women to widows,
Children are malnourished,
They die of hunger and thirst, while many more are kwashiokored,
Patiently and painfully waiting for death,
War you are indeed a bastard,
Woe unto you War.
At least give them decent burial those you killed,
But no, you prefer to display their dead bodies,
So, the birds of prey and other dirty animals like you
Can have their fill?
Woe unto you who sings the praise of War,
Woe unto you who dances to the rhythm of war,
Woe unto you war mongers.
Woe unto you War.
Say no to war, for War its evil.
