You Cannot Kill A Poet Poem by Hebert Logerie

You Cannot Kill A Poet

You cannot kill an object
That you cannot see
The Poet is very correct
Indeed divinely perfect
You can never foresee
What his works are about
You cannot touch him, but
You can sense the message
That he is spreading. This sage
Is too convoluted to fully comprehend
His dedication, to totally understand
His true motives and intentions
Albeit, he is a man of actions
Love, compassion and passion
Don't be imbedded in confusion
It is true that you can't kill a Poet
The bloody dictators, like a Muppet
Have tried, insisted, came close
But they failed, and fell on their nose
I know what I am talking about
Because I saw them changing route.
