You And I Poem by Marcus McKinley

You And I

Rating: 5.0

I have not forsaken
Those eyes that I once gazed
With lust and indignity
I have dreamed of thee
In honor I breach the boundary of souls
Amid your lexical whimsies which wind my heart
In oratory I postulate our possible fate
In repose upon silk threads
I wait, as time has passed in pulses
I suspire upon the ebb
And expire beneath the weight of love

For you
