A Sea Of Dreams (A Bedtime Poem) Poem by Marcus McKinley

A Sea Of Dreams (A Bedtime Poem)

Rating: 5.0

Gradually rocking, drifting, swaying
Your whole life viewed, through a sliver
Soft ocean waves gently tucking in
Cherished is, this final glimmer
And, shimmer of ocean spray
Through mists on sands unwind
Rest now in the low lights halo
Eyelids, on a slow decline
May your hopes and dreams run wild
Good night my beautiful son
Sleep tight my earthly child
Sleep now your day is done

Enchanting poem! What a beautiful image you paint of a child falling asleep.

The narrator's sea of vivid images and adjective sounds made me feel as if I were falling asleep in a crystal spa.Another great piece of work, Marcus.
