You Poem by Kruthi Parappa

You

I imagined you to be the lightning in the night sky;
But little did I know that it would hit the earth so hard;
And maim it forever.
No it wasn't your fault.
I was the one who called you the lightning;
And you just did your job.
It was all my fault,
That I only saw the marvel you did in the sky,
So far away from me.
I should have foreseen this havoc earlier.
But anyways, thanks for being the Apple of my eye, for as long as you've stayed.
