Yesterday It Was Full Moon.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

Yesterday It Was Full Moon....

Rating: 4.1

Yesterday it was full moon....

Oh what do I have with the moon?
Full moon?

Now I can no longer see that.
The moon has become smaller
but he still stands out
because he is hiding behind the roof of my neighbors

at first I thought, that is the garden lantern from them
I didn't notice it was full moon yesterday,
since I watched world football between China and Spain.
A world football match for women.
the US, England and the Netherlands are the best, they say.

the moon continues its walk to the next point.
it is now light orange and not as big as the setting sun,
with the same beautiful orange color,
no not the orange color of our royal house,
but just orange from Rembrandt
with which I always paint

do you remember...
the best oil paint colors are The Rembrandt and The Van Gogh?
Yes world famous for oil paintings on linen canvas
I can add that the best watercolor colors are also these two brands

I write poems, at least I try to write poems,
but I also draw and paint
that is innate talent given by God,

I see the moon moving from left to right,
it takes about half an hour for this
I can imagine that it follows the earth in more than one day,

Only last night did I get the chance to think about it
God's creation, so powerful, so sweet and gentle and intensely beautiful,
the moon is also so romantic

it is a bit foggy this night,
every now and then he hides behind those veil curtains,
and then he continues his route

the moon is so beautiful, light pastel orange in mist grey and translucent
it moves very carefully through the misty clouds,
just like watching a dot behind veil clouds,
gently shifting in silence

I am relieved to have made these notes about the moon,
because he is so beautiful in soft orange
and sunk in transparent grey
covered with translucent cloud veils
and it looks romantic....

This is difficult to see the full moon of yesterday. Today we may not get chance to see it again. This is very true that the moon continues its walk to the next point. Moon is very calm and beautiful. Cloud veils and it looks romantic. God's creation is truly amazing. This poem carries an outstanding imagery. Thank you very much for penning this...10... wonderful.....

The way of presentation of this poem is so adorable and attractable. The full moon has become smaller due to hiding behind the roof of neighbors. It becomes beautiful orange color, just orange from Rembrandt. The moon looks beautiful in soft orange and sinks in transparent grey covered with translucent cloud veils and it looks romantic.... A beautiful poem is shared amazingly. Thank you a lot with full vote.

As I brisk-walked early his morning (4: 30 am) , I gazed at the romantic view of the full moon, dear Ma'am Sylvia. A full mark of 10++++

It's the earth that spins around every 24 hours. The moon takes 28 days to circle the earth. I don't think it spins.

Thank you so much for your info about the moon. That I know too well, this is just an error mine. Of course, I know about the earth spinning around its own axis during 24 hours while going around the sun. The moon does not spin, you are correct, it only follows the earth within shorter than one month. It is not exactly 28 days. The scientist let us believe, but not that exact. The earth also makes movements in an elliptic way, not truly going around. the sun.
