Ye Have Done It Unto Me Poem by Katherine Graven

Ye Have Done It Unto Me

Rating: 4.8

Dedicated to the Homeless

Jesus was sent to this world as the Light
So, I could see beyond my sight
The individuals no one wants to look upon
Humans who have only mankind to rely on.

A Savior was sent by God to give guidance
To open one's ears to hear the silence
Of the one who has no home and is all alone
Who looks so weary as if all hope is gone

Human beings who are thrown away and ignored
Homelessness and hunger written on Cardboard
Pride is swallowed, shame and worthlessness sinks in
People drive by with only contempt, without even thinking

About

Hunger, tattered clothes and worn out shoes
Places to sleep, or caring if God even knew
Disregarded strangers who are, hungry, thirsty and in need
All the while people are Ignoring their helpless plea

If you knew God was watching
What would you do
What do you hear that still voice
Telling you

Or is your heart so harden
That you can't hear the Holy Spirit
Anymore

Remember you ignore the homeless
You have ignored our

Savior
Jesus Christ

So

What happen to compassion
What happen to empathy
What has happened to Love thy Neighbor
What Happened

Jesus said

"Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these,

YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME"

'The individuals no one wants to look upon Humans who have only mankind to rely on' - these two lines describe the homeless well.
