Wrestling Poem by dave lessard

Wrestling

I was a wrestler in my youth
so-so if you must know the truth
and such truth is always good
if we're behaving as we should.
We all wrestle many things
to see what tomorrow brings
hoping for a future state
where-in now we meditate.
Some wrestle with their mind
and never seem success to find
their dreams just fade away
finally, just lose their way.
Some wrestle with their mate
loosing them they say to fate
then they bow, and step aside
due to anger, lust and pride.
I wrestled with my grand Creator
came to Him in life much later
Now, I don't grapple anymore
now that I know what life is for.
