Wounded Poem by Rini Shibu

Wounded

Rating: 5.0

Unable to fly again
She was restrained
Flapping her wings on the ground
Wounded and defeated
Oh the wings are cut
All doors have been shut
No one to give her shelter
Or to hear her cry
Shadows of flying birds
Passed by but they never heard
Tears washed away her pain
And she took her last breath without complain.

She was restrained flapping her wings on the ground, wounded and defeated....excellent poetic expression! Top score and to my favourite!

Its the state of all, if the wings are cut the last refuge is death alone.

A very sad end. So is life and its journey. Thought provoking poem.
