Just as words can make you think--
And a bird hunt can make you more aware...
Even in the lingering amber light of dusk...
Even in the cutting cold of sorrows despair;

Words for thought can make or break you--
Easy does it as the domino's fall...
Chain reactions are ever nearing...
Downed a house of cards-once tall;

Words for thought can inspire you--
Just as much as they can make you see...
The ravages of a tormented soul in chronic illness...
And the sorrows of the you and the me;

Just as food can make you think--
Just as the hunter is found instead--
The birds fly free in the amber light--
And the truth in words invades my head;

The stealth and secrecy has all but been abolished...
The truth was, indeed, in the pudding my dear-!
Words for thoughts served to open taste buds wide...
And an enigma filled to the brim with fear;

So on we go with our new gained knowledge---!
A recorded diary in dated fact...!
Preserved in the light for future use- if needed...
Preserved in the light for future attack;
