Words Be Mine Poem by Pride Mokhele

Words Be Mine

The confusion with ink and graphite
Is splattered expressing a passion
So strong it seems like resentment.
I take it into my dimension, curb it
And enforce with my strongest
Emotion then set it on course…

Be mine, allow me to wield you, play
With you and twiddle you with my fingers,
And use your voice that’s so special to
Make others listen with their eyes.

Attack me, enthuse me, abuse me,
Enrage me! Whatever you do,
Do it to me!
Be free, you’re welcome,
Wake me from sweetest of slumber.
For you, I will forever remain in hunger.

Feed me, fill my void, help me…
Understand.

My world is yours, as yours is mine.
Be forever with me and fulfil my mind.
I propose to you without a ring to bind.
Hear my cry as I solemnly plea…
Words Be Mine.
