Word For Word Poem by Prabhakar Subramaniam

Word For Word

Rating: 5.0

Let's not go there
I know where
That comes from
Frisson, frisson
I know what you mean
Know where you've been
Where the meadow rolls
Where the wind howls
Where the grass is greener
The people are meaner - - -
I've seen her, you know who
Seen have I, with a guard or two - -
Two is company, three is a roar
Over five come under one fortyfour
I crunch no numbers, give me words
What is truth, but a word
I wash my hands of him, guards
I do not know, he may be son of god
He washed away our sins with his blood
Blood is thicker than water, in a flood
Only strangers arrived with food
And said the worst was over,
The water was receding all over
Never was earth lovelier, Peter
Just like the world after fever
Wash your hands with soap, water
No harm in saying a prayer - -
Let's not go there
When was life ours that we now fear
It may pass away here
Where we thought the grass was greener - -
Home is where you want to die from
Whatever you may die of.

Where frisson and only frisson comes there we should not go. You wash hands and do not crunch numbers. You love word of truth is interesting. Due to Corona Virus we are now in fear. We should be aware about this and we should take preventative measure. This poem is very brilliantly and excellently penned.10
