Without His Love Poem by Lora Colon

Without His Love

Rating: 5.0

Without his love, life is meaningless,
I struggle, but I can't climb the hill;
And what am I to do with the dreams
That only he was meant to fulfill

Without his love...... eternal winter,
Spring may come, but I won't be aware;
Leaves will be brown, the roses won't bloom,
No answer to my relentless prayer

Without his love, the darkness lingers
Long past dawn, just dark clouds fill my days;
I tremble to think I may not find
A ray of light in this dismal haze

Without his love, I fear I will fall,
I've been leaning on him for so long;
I reach out, in vain, to grasp his hand,
O Lord, why was this chain forged so strong!

Without his love, I dare not recall
The things a happy heart remembers;
I tell my confused thoughts they must sleep
As they lay on the dying embers

Without his love, nothing matters now,
My depth of sorrow cannot increase;
I've reached the wall... there is no escape,
Not even death could afford me peace!
