With a poor family-Father

Tears rush
and push me
for going down
with the sentiments known

what a father he was?
God had chosen me with a poor family
that both had faced lots of difficulties
but they were very much sure of parental qualities

I had never faced a shortage of love
they tried to give
despite financial hardship
but tried to keep me in happiness

When I grew with hardship
it never troubled me to keep pace
with such things in life's journey
I always had happiness with a smiley face

I remember when they had no money
to give my school fees and continue
I had to apply for economically backward class
yet, I continued to excel and pass

This gave me enough strength with their blessings
even today my eyes get wet and feel like missing
for their love and affection
father always gave a favourable reaction

mother had a lion's heart
with firm resolve and started
with lots of encouragement and appreciation
I wish them both a happy sojourn

Mother stood firm like a rock
and did not allow any smoke to cover
our fortune
she stood both as father and mother and blessed from the heaven
