Wishful Thinking Poem by Kimara Young

Wishful Thinking

I wish i could burn all the money in the world
make people trade for goods like in the past
simple slips of paper, holding so much value
that everyone seems to lose so fast.
I wish the world were a healthy place
and things we need to survive weren't destroyed
that smokers and drinkers would be better thinkers
finding new ways to fill up the void
I wish that when i walked down the street
animals weren't laying in the road
if karma were as righteous as it is in my mind
many a life would be owed
