Wish You Were Here Poem by Emmanuel Dika

Wish You Were Here

Not as though I wished it to happen
But I didn't fight hard to hinder
Because I sought a balance life would offer
But it didn't so I did suffer
And am here alone regretting the breakup
That nursed a heartbreak
Creating a vacuum that obeyed all its laws
Devoid of everything
But a hurt no touch has healed
The world so noisy
Yet cold and lonely
... wish you were here!
