Wish For Clarity Poem by mitch king

Wish For Clarity

a thought has left me without a trace
i kid you not i lie here now
and the only rhyme i can think of is shoelace
next ill be doing strange random kapow
there we go it has left me now
i hate it when a word is on the end of my tongue
i wish it would hit me with a stroke of light
or an enigmatic pun
but all that is left in this hollow blight
that is my mind left with no inner sight
i toil here in my bed
and repitions
repition
of nonsense in my head
and i lie here putting in lines with not a fathom
this bunch of ingrammer undeserving of name poem
yet i lie here not stopping the dance in linger
that i am witness to as i watch my two index finger
this must be the story of more then two
the haunt that be a slave to finger two
and mind is shut at this late hour
and i hear the cat on yonder is meower
oh my lord i just said meower
what is my inexcusable lack of skill
yes i believe my mother should have taken her pill
16 years ago but it came arise to a dill
i have a pet dog her name is lill
ill stop
after i mention that this should get a rating of nill
end
