Winter Ice Cream At A Baskin Robins Poem by Bill Grace

Winter Ice Cream At A Baskin Robins

In Texas in winter the ice cream shop is abandoned
only the most hardcore core fans seek it out.
Despite being allergic or at least sensitive to preservatives that are used
every six, nine, or twelve months or so I chance it.

I chance it
knowing there is risk
even with the tip jar that proclaims:
'Tips for college
A little goes a long way
Thank you.'
