Will You? Poem by Marien Jacobs

Will You?

When my world is shattered,
And all is gone and lost,
Will You be there?

When all has left,
Never to return,
Will You come when I call?

When sounds die off,
And everything goes still,
Will You hear my voice?

When I’m standing alone, even in a crowd,
Hands stretched out…waiting…
Will You come and take my hand?

When everything seems to be a mess,
And my eyes are fixed on the ground,
Will You still look me in the eyes?

When tears blurred my vision,
And I can’t see the way,
Will You walk beside me?

Who are You?
Where are You?
Father hear my cry!

I will be true
To the promise I have made,
I will be here!

When you wake in the morning
And the future seems unclear
I will be here!

When your heart feels like breaking,
When you need a shoulder to cry on
I will be here!

Ps.31: 22 “For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before Thine eyes: nevertheless Thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto Thee! ”
