Will To Die Poem by Calvin Nyangena

Will To Die

mother
oho sweet mother
am sorry having caused you pain
i know it did cost shame without gain
that your poor son did it again
ain't worth my salt to bargain
'cause nobody saw me strain
all you did was negating campaign
of all you denied me company
oho sweet mother
yes it is
my will to die
comrade
you promised me comfort
but in turn what? not even an effort
am told you wanted to avoid
in any case, have caused you emptiness and void
you've turned my best foe
not reminiscing you vow
that we had a mission: Die with me
i think it is enough of me
that my identity will away fade
the moments ants on me feed
yes it is
my will to die
foe
oho my best one
you made me realize strengths
that are measured in lengths vary in heights
you made me grow bitter
to overdo you
not realizing my efforts
that so weak achieving
so now a lesson to learn so do i preach
that the key is humility
and so far without unity
that ain't a community
so my dear foe
my wish you preach the gospel
that you and i will succeed
but you alone will try.
