Why I Love You Poem by asaolu kolawole ifedayo

Why I Love You

My angel! Fairer is thy tender beauty
that your stars within
show a better side of love
pure and innocent
with an endless smile of rose
painting my heart of fright
when here so lone, thou send a flashing sun

See! I did not love you
because of thy golden jet
neither do i fancy thy youthful face
sitting among many adorable princess
but i love thee for the sake of love
that i may be much more stronger in tears
which falls apart when we are gone to eternity

For love is not love
which claps willingly when fingers are gracefully equal
neither it is a breath that beckons
when sleep is strenghten by its happier dream
but love above factors is love
as a blind man in pursuit of diamond throne

but why i love thee is still unknown
a revelation revealing itself
about true love that heals its deeper wounds
beside thy kissable lips
and maybe none for all

nor thy transparent trust
nor thy expensive cars
and many more children of vanity
which shall all bow to sound of change
when its summer trumphet shall break
but i will ever love thee by heart
and only for the sake of love.
