Why I Left Poem by VEDA ARTHA

Why I Left

Why I left from there needs an explanation.
Obviously it needs an explanation.
As I am not a hard core feminist,
Nor that you are a chauvinist.
It is not that I am a genuine rebel,
and of course you are not a stickler.
I don't disagree on anything
Not even when it is all my thing
on which you take all crucial decisions,
leaving me with a nod of mere admission.
I don't leave any cup or mug broken,
even when you leave me totally broken.
I never let the painful cry to be a noise,
as they taught me not to raise my voice.

Why I left from there needs an explanation
Obviously it needs an explanation
As I am not an object under you any more
And you are not my subject if you spare.
It is not that you limit me within yourself
And of course not that am your personal elf.
I never misinterpreted your words and deeds
Not even it left bruises here and there always.
I did not ask you to understand me
even when you misunderstood me, us
because they taught me to never react
as I knew it is politically incorrect.

Why I left from there needs an explanation
Obviously it needs an explanation
I am tired of being quiet as my silence
started itching my sores of consciousness.

But I will not give any explanation
And I will go on by my decision
not bound to any societal prescription
If you understand this is abject rejection
make sure that I got the satisfaction
I will not give any explanation
Even if I had to be on separation.
