I live everyday but your remember it only today
I work day and night, you recognise it only today
I toil to keep everything and everyone going
and you make it a celebration only on today.
I keep none miss their dates and moments
even if it amounts to my life's losses.
I need to ensure your well being, peace
even at the cost of missing my own.
I fare better everyday to make you smile
although it leaves me less space and time.
But you post your care all this only on today.
Children, friends, husband, cousins, and all
kindly excuse me away from this day
as single rain in a desert scorches the heat.
all your praise won't reduce the labour
and can't deduct any effort, so in vain.
