If there was a chance in hell
That you could save us -
Why don't you try?
If your words could ease the pain
That hangs between us -
Why don't you try?
If you love me as you say
Beyond tomorrow -
Why don't you try?
In my silence lies the truth
It's up to you now -
Why don't you try?
I guess I have my answer then.

in trying, too many people have these hangs...god knows what stops them from their approaches...even silence may die if remain reciprocated...lovely poem with deep sentiment..it really touched me..
Great poem Linda, one keeps hoping, but one knows the signs and somehow the outcome also. Life can be very one sided sometimes. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
your answer was there before you drew silence...as action be the true voice of result....But i will also say, eespecially if rthis fine piece of work be penned from an auto-bio vein....That your Silence was the most apropriatey response to that which has proven to be unworthy of your care or concern....Midnight....you write in spirts, and with far too much void in betwewen....yet, one would never know....as there be no rust on your plume de la majique! Solid as Rock, young lady! ~ FjR ~ ..2008..
L, I can relate to this one so hard it hurts. You know, I believe that actions speak louder than words... but when there are no actions and there are no words, the answer is given in the loudest possible terms, indeed. One to treasure for future reference. t x
