Why Poem by Rod Morris

Why

Why do distant stars twinkle in night skies?
Why do salty teardrops fall from misty eyes?
Why does every flower turn to face the sun?
Why do people laugh when only having fun?
Why does true happiness make us want to cry?
Why does love and tenderness turn into a sigh?
Why are your loved ones always on your mind?
Why are family ties the strongest ones to bind?
Why do newborn babies teach us how to mime?
Why when some grow up, unwisely turn to crime?
Why is my simple why's unanswered, so many whys?
Why there must be a soul about, much more worldly wise!

There are so many unanswered questions in our world, the only answers we find are those we we whisper to ourselves in our minds. Good one.
