Who Will Poem by Gill Moore

Who Will

Who will tend my garden
when the day comes I'm not here
I'm not afraid of dying
just to leave what I hold dear
listening to the children
as they gaily laugh and play
the wonder that's called nature
that surrounds me every day
who will tell my loved ones
everything will be alright
who will make a cup of tea
and hold them oh so tight
these are the things that worry me
not often I must say
but now and then, occasionally
especially today
it's just a sign I'm growing older
it happens every day
facing my mortality
there is no other way
