we hear the children laugh and cheer
come on nanny, quick! they shout
you've got to blow your candles out

Don't cry for me when I'm not here
but treasure all that I hold dear
find me where the snowflakes dance
and on the sea wild horses prance
...

We sit in her garden
drinking our tea
the sun on our backs
and a biscuit for me
...

The pheasant in my garden
is quite a noisy chap
he has a splendid coat of gold
and quite the greenest cap
...

To dream sometimes
what might have been
as flower petals fade
to try to keep on smiling
...

Forty riders on the line
watch the gate for starting time
engines running, goggles down
to win the race achieve the crown
...

A golden cake a wedding bell
and old tyme music softly tell
of Italy, love and romance
a soldier and his girl who danced
...

The herd of friesians are no more
the marsh is empty now
where once they stood and chewed the cud
no more the grazing cow
...

I cannot sleep
it's half past four
as I creep gently out the door
coat on - cup of tea in hand
...

High in a november sky
as Temple Tuttle passes by
and all around the village sleeps
I witness one of natures feats
