Who Taught You? Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Who Taught You?

Who taught you?

You feel short, ugly, fat
What is the standard?
Where from?

Brainwashed?

Who taught you?
Why, for who?
Was he white?

Be sheep, dog.
Get dry after wash.
Shed yourself like a bird.

Better wake
Stand up.
