WHO. CAN. BE.A. POET

slouched on my couch
with trepidation I vouch
poets need pain
for inspiration to gain
go through sorrow
yesterday, today and tomorrow
poetic thoughts flow
in the beginning much slow
on momentum gain
like torrential rain
couch potatoes, pitiable men
whose lifestyle is too even
with a poetic fascination
suffer a lack of inspiration
