Who Am I Poem by Somanathan Iyer

Who Am I

When not bothered with other thoughts
mundane or by moorings of mind
When not involved in any activities
routine or rumblings for a living
‘Who am I’ asked I many a times
asking now even in these running times
Certain to ask till the time runs to my end
answer never known, query only remains
By name and entity known I to some
not known to other millions and millions
Wonder to note existence’ limitations
rolling over are times without knowing my role
Is the role limited to every entity with the body?
beyond that is anything concealed and sidelined?
I if denoted to body where stands the soul?

'Who am I? ' is a question for which only one person knows the answer I think.

Very true question asked. I if denoted to body where stands the soul? It is rightly said there is no answer to it but only question remain. It is very difficult to get proper definition of Soul. Dont know how does it look like. Where does it goes after body is dead? and from where did it came and how did it enter the body? ? ? ? We human beings will keep on searching for answers.
