White Clouds Beckoned Me Poem by Vera Sidhwa

White Clouds Beckoned Me

White Clouds Beckoned Me

I saw a change in the world's environment.
It caused alarm and concern in me.
I wondered if we were done for
Our global human race.

But the white clouds beckoned me
And told me stories of salvation.
They said it was not too late
To set another date.

Another date was not so clear
As if to that if should come fast.
The message from the heavens
Did not last.

At last the clouds beckoned me
And said it was too late.
That humankind was unkind
To save the human race.
