Whisperings Poem by Patty van Delft

Whisperings

Soft and gentle
They escape my unwilling lips
Like a tiny waterfall
Unstoppable
They fall
One last call
To you
Hesitatingly
Honestly
Words from the heart
The soul
Whisperings
Almost musical
Like a soft summer rain
Little drops
Of love
Of pain
Uncatchable
They fall
From my trembling lips
Against my will
Just four little words
‘I love you still'
