Black feathers, black wings
Of a lonely death he sings
Is it always mischief he brings?
Listening to the Raven's musings
...
Soft and gentle
They escape my unwilling lips
Like a tiny waterfall
Unstoppable

Just Patty is the poet name used by the Dutch writer Patty van Delft. Why the name ‘Just Patty’? Because writing poetry is a naked reflection of the heart and soul, nothing more and nothing less. It’s just you without decorations. The poetry by Just Patty is mostly a combination of dark thoughts, loss, strength, grief, love and the courage to continue fighting no matter what. ‘Patty's poetry moves the heart and soul, her writing is so exquisitely beautiful. I promise you Patty will touch you in ways that transcends words.’ The art that Just Patty uses to illustrate her poetry is made by her. She models for her own photos, shoots them and does the editing as well. She is the author of the poetry book My Wings and writes most of her work on www.petitemagique.wordpress.com)
A Raven's Musings
Black feathers, black wings
Of a lonely death he sings
Is it always mischief he brings?
Listening to the Raven's musings
Dark thoughts, dark night
Anxiously waiting for daylight
He spreads his wings at midnight
What a glorious sight
Shady plans, shady intentions
The Raven's unknown missions
Or are these just assumptions?
Silently, the dark awakens
Obscure words, obscure whispering
I can hear a maiden begging
For a peaceful, painless ending
Death can be a blessing
Sinister bird, sinister beauty
His dark appearance sets me free
A voice filled with melancholy
Listening to the Raven calling me
