Whine And Nag Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Whine And Nag

Whine and nag

Don't sit on your dumb ass
-complain, whine and nag
- 'Everything is born bad! '

You preach: 'Good was past, '
-then insist 'Now is bad! '

I agree things do change
-dirt becomes green and
-fruit and meat, flesh

Then repeats the circle
-turns crop, food; eaten
-bone, blood, also nerve

Then back to be the fish or lamb
-to lion, jaguar, wolf or fox
-then circles in circles…
-so, what is complaint?

If you mean behaviours
-be alert, remember
-wolf and lamb have always
-lived with own characters
-and a world without one
-is missing some factor

Be easy, accept facts
-with it you enjoy, laugh

Example is with me
-so, listen and let me
-talk about Downsview

I went there to record eclipse
-had read and had observed videos
-the info could've been sufficient
-only if, I had paid attention
-to be well-prepared

But wasn't…

Who is there to blame?
-but myself!
-therefore, no complaint

I went to 'The Hangar'
- (for sports, a place)
-sought help for memory
- (to use in camera)

Carelessly forgot to take along
-there, two youths didn't have
-but gave me what they had
-guidance and support to
-an exact location…
- 'You'll find there…'

The lad came out and showed
-by naming, pointing with index
-straight and then right, then to left

I had my engine on when I heard
- 'Sir, sir, sir…' it was her
-she ran with map in hnad
-printed…

I came down and thanked her
-and we hugged:
- 'Thank you, great job'

This is what
-you do never talk about…

Went to shop and did find
-I looked at prices
-how Shameless

The shop was a branch of a chain
-their price is four to five times
-over what sells market
-I know well
-SD cards are the film's daily bread
-I purchase

I cannot disagree
-things have changed
-see greed and ego everywhere

This is how the chains run
-sucking hard on blood!
-cheating us by selling one item
-far below norm price; but the rest…?

I returned to the chosen place
-eclipse location selected
-to see Moon and the Sun
-struggle for power

Realised am dumber than claim
-needed shade to cover eyes of rays
-bright sun did not look to set camera
-great fail

A young man was passing
-I called him and he came

He had self prepared
-item to protect the eyes
-miracle, creator, excellent…

Five or six pairs of shades
-on top of each other
-and worked fine
-sure, cheap and too basic

We saw sun and the moon
-eclipse
-can say like the babies

Yes, the day was great
-and I was a member
-of people
-not a couch potato
-nor whining observer

Filming done, I went to 'The Hangar'
-insisted to buy them ice-cream
-just to thank, refunding
- 'Why not share little laugh? '
- 'Why not use the ground to plant…
-love tree, care tree, humanity? '

Saadi is my teacher and has said:
- 'Do good and throw it in Tigress
-God pays back in his way,
-possibly somewhere else
-it could be anywhere
-even in Euphrates

What a day!
-thanks to the eclipse
-which makes me to question
-the question I feared to place
-in the past, and as child
- 'Is there God? '

I Would be atheist, if I did, blasphemer
-would be killed
-church did that to thousands

Hate church, mosque, synagogue
-and their like, in power
-they become murderers
-bulldozers
-graders
-picks, shovels
-guillotines
-pull the tongues
-from mouths
-or even the backsides

I have seen the churches' museums
-poor Jesus! He shoulders the blames

Eclipse tells me of our Moon, Sun
- 'They are ants in the large universe! '
-If so then I wonder: 'Who am I? '
-…atheist, agnostic! I need roots and a base
-love to say: 'There is God…' until then…
