While They Continue To Loot Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

While They Continue To Loot

Political union or national unity
The difference is so blurred
For not many would care to notice actually

Stars twinkle in the dark divide
As the moon spreads its divine smile across the economic expanse
Yet under so much tinkles and smiles
They look tons of our precious stones with great abandon

Meanwhile they host and post
They toast the cost: they boast and rock
To us pfumvudza they prescribe: in private jets they fly
Our rivers of tears are now overflowing with rage
