Which To Blame Poem by Randy McClave

Which To Blame

They wanna ban many books here
From other peoples beliefs and views and utter fear,
Books that contain graphic violence, expresses disrespect for parents and family
Or which is sexually explicit, exalts evil, lacks literary merit, is unsuitable for all to see.
Banning books of particular age group, or includes offensive language and beliefs
They wanna ban and burn those books leafs,
The advocates have preached this and still cry and say
By banning books our children and our future will be okay.
So, no more will those books be in school to read or teach
They'll be forever out of our children's reach,
No more by parents or by teachers will those books ever again be read
And never again because of a banned book will the innocent lie dead.

The other day after banning another evil book
Into which my son will never know about or look,
He will now become a righteous and caring and a sinless nonjudgmental man
Because of those evil books, that I helped ban.
The other day my child hit another child with a stick
I then quickly removed that limb from my child's hand really quick,
And I did the same thing when my child hit another child with a rock
I was in disbelief and took them both away, while I was in utter shock.
Unto God I then did say a prayer
I then wished that the rock and the stick was never there,
Then unto my soul I will make this claim
I figured the stick and the rock wasn't the one to blame.
