Where Was She Poem by L.J. Miller

Where Was She

Where was she hiding, when you needed someone?
When you were crying, when you thought you were done?
But I was a fool, to think I could have you
I was just a tool, trying to break through
When I was in your arms, you had other things on your mind
You and all your charms, made me blind.
You were my friend, nothing more
It couldn’t end, because there was nothing before
You were my first, the one I loved the most
But now I curse, the day we got close
Now it hurts, now I see clearly
Put me in the dirt, let me break free
