Whenever It Comes My Chance Poem by Emmanuel Joseph Olumakiss

Whenever It Comes My Chance

I will never live fast
Though I might be the last to excel
Whenever it comes my chance
I will grab it with joyful heart

Do I need to stand in peoples way?
Before I can achieve my aim
What profit will I gain?
To kill so as to ensure I excel

Isn't time I get busy with my hand?
So I can stand firm my ground
Though in this race many are out of sight
Numerous are done trying
A lot wish to depart
As fast as one runneth
Yet none can catch up with the wind

Severally we've seen the year coming:
Most times in a mournful look
So much trials in its hand

Even them that have nothing to lose
Are always busy seeking for something to do

It is the same room several people dwell
Only them with idle mind have nothing to do with their time
Lets not talk about the place its already happening
Lets talk of the need to get things working.
