When you are gone….
Will you still whisper my name?
Will you love stays the same?
Will you just forget in the world of your own?
Will there be growth from the seeds that were sown?

When you are gone…..
And I’m here, away from you….far…
Will you still seek the sky…looking at the star?
Counting the stars: one, two, three…
Then the question: Will you remember me?

When you are gone…..
And each of us face a different way
How will we know that this is meant to stay?
A year come and go – then another’s on its way,
Will distance and time then become more real day-by-day?

When you come back….
Will you still recall my name?
Will winning my heart still be in your aim?
Will the dreams and the hopes all just be discard?
Or will the flame that was kindled burn stronger in your heart?

Now while you are gone….
I’ll look up to the dark starry sky,
As I call out your name as the time goes by,
Knowing – no matter what the outcome will be
He’s the One, the future to see,
And out of His hands will come the best,
So may I be still, and in Him find my rest.
