When She Leaned Poem by Soumodip Mukherji

When She Leaned

Is it warm enough,
His shoulders you lean on
Is your smile now heavenly
More than darkness I can find
But I can only find shadows
Over your snow clad body
His blue stripes,
Red silk
Doesn't cover you behind my neck
You hide your lips
When ships sailed.
There is time- my faded memory
There is you - shadowed
Tired of hiding your smile
When your smile
Retained sameness,
Age passed on but you never
forgot to lean when I forgot
How wonderfuly you grew tired.
